Recently nominated to the Grammys for “Contemporary Blues Album of the Year” with Samantha Fish, singer and guitar player Jesse Dayton now releases his last album. After his nomination, Jesse has extensively toured with Samantha and now he is engaged on a new tour with his band The Royal Kings, this time to present this new release.

For this new recording Jesse’s aim is to take a close look to his different influences which, of course, include blues, but also other styles like Texas rock, country, Americana, Bob Dylan’s music or even punk rock. Thanks to this mixture of rhythms, he has been able to collaborate with a good number of artists like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings or Kris Kristofferson among others.

Ten songs give shape to the recording and allow us to appreciate the variety of Jesse’s guitar performing, who also is gifted with a rough, raw and heartrending voice, perfect to develop the music Jesse likes more and easily moves on, a kind of music that has also contributed to forge roots American music, besides making us travel to those dusty roadhouse bars where bikers drink beers while playing billiards, to finish the night totally drunk in a local jail cell.

Jesse Dayton is on guitar, vocals and percussion. Together with him you will find Shooter Jennings on keyboards and piano, Matt Hubbard on accordion, keyboards and percussion, Ted Russell Kamp on bass, drummers Jamie Douglass and Patrick Herzfeld and finally, Courtney Santana on backing vocals.
