From time to time one gets a pleasant surprise listening to a new album This is the case of Danish musician Jesper Theis, I have been pleasantly surprised with this first recording entitled Narrow The album is divided in two different parts that were recorded in two different sessions, both in Tommy Leino’s studios in Finland The first one is totally acoustic, with Jesper Theis on guitar and vocals and Peter Nande on harmonica In the second semi-acoustic recording session, Jesper Thais’ voice and guitar perfectly match with accurate work of Jaska Prepula on bass and Mikko Peltola on drums and percussion, also including Tommy Leino as second guitarist and Jakob Munch Mortensen on trombone, both in some songs This musical combination of careful closeness approach to blues music is wrapped with an attractive elegant fantasy, where you will find warm emotional moments, together with a deep magical beauty Jesper is living now in Vilanova y La Geltrú (Barcelona, Spain) and has started collaborations with local musicians like singer and harmonica player Xiscu Rubio
