Singer, guitar player and songwriter Jeff Pitchell got a great notoriety when his album “Heavy Hitter” reached number 7 at Billboard charts, overcoming in sales Delbert McClinton, Robert Cray, Etta James, John Lee Hooker or Muddy Waters. Since that moment he started a successful career, receiving a good number of recognitions from both specialized media and public, besides recording with renowned artists like J. Geils, Rick Derringer, Dave Mason or James Cotton.

With this ninth album Jeff wants to celebrate his friendship and collaboration with great musicians and friends who, along his career, have shared with him unforgettable blues moments as well as their passion for music.

Thirteen songs, most of them own compositions, give shape to an album full of great passages and intense moments, which opens with “An Eye For An Eye”, a Jeff’s song John Mayall included in his album “Tough”.

In the album you will find impressive duets Jeff Pitchell performs with J. Geils, Tyrone Vaughan, Duane Bettes, Rick Derringer and Christine Ohlman but, as if that was not enough, the musicians involved in each of the album songs are practically different, as if the backing bands would have been carefully selected according to every song distinctive feature, which makes them become really special and superb, and makes us appreciate the magnificent work they have done.

Certainly, blues runs through Pitchell’s veins, because he really knows to perform it with an amazing majesty that will surprise most listeners.
