For his fourth album Jeff Jensen decided to do the whole studio production together with Mick Kolassa and, the true thing is both have done a brilliant work on an album full of exuberant energy, strength and originality The cd includes seven Jeff’s own compositions and four inspired versions like Bad Bad Whiskey coming from Amos Milburn or What’s The Matter With The Mill by Memphis Minnie In his own compositions Jeff shows he is also an excellent lyricist Songs like Make It Through, Get Along, Fall Apart or Ash and Bone are a good example where Jeff expresses his feelings with an expertise good vocal abilities and a full restrained despair But Jeff Jensen also shines as a superb guitar player, which becomes evident in songs like Elephant Blues or Paper Walls A wide and diverse bunch of musicians have been involved in these recordings and all together have completed an intense irresistible album with an amazing quality level, both in vocal and horn arrangements In short words, this is an album where Jensen shows to the whole world his wide range of technical resources, as well as his huge talent and amazing creativity
