The new work by singer and guitar player Jay Willie and his band, gives us an attractive and tasty material, performed on a cool style and great commitment Fourteen catching, varied and joyful songs, ranging from a couple of Jay Willie’s own cuts to some ones coming from Link Wray, Jazz Gillum, Edgar Winter, Elmore James or Stephen Stills among others Rumblin’ And Slidin’ is the second album Jay Willie has recorded for independent label Zoho Roots and gathers such popular tunes like Key To The Highway, Fly Away or For What It’s Worth, all them performed from a very different perspective of what we are used to listen The band includes Jay Willie, vocals, guitar, composition and slide, Bob Callahan guitar, vocals and composition, Steve Clarke bass and piano and Bobby T Torello (former Johnny Winter’s drummer) drums and composition Jay has also recruited four exceptional guest musicians like Jason Ricci harmonica, Suzanne Vick vocals, Ron Stahl drums and Ted Yakush saxophone
