Jay Willie Blues Band comes with his fifth album recorded for ZOHO Music in New York, which follows the same line of the previous ones It has been produced and supervised by Jochen Becker Jay Willie and his band are Jay Willie on vocals, guitar and slide guitar, Bob Callahan on guitar and vocals, Paul Opalach on bass, keyboards, lap steel, tambourine and vocals and Bobby T Torelló (Johnny Winter) on drums and vocals In the recording also collaborate singer Malorie Leogrande in two songs and harmonica player Jason Ricci in two more tunes The group aims to pay tribute to soul and rhythm and blues musicians, especially those of the 50’s and 60’s who, with their personal style, created and contributed to develop American black music The cd also includes two old songs 44 Blues coming from blues singer and piano player Roosevelt Sykes, which was published in 1929 and the one from 1930 Soul Of A Man by bluesman Blind Willie Johnson Free versions and own songs match in a convincing eclectic way which make as a result a raw but at the same time full of beautiful moments album, whose purpose is simply give pleasure and entertainment to all listeners on a satisfying rewarding way
