This is the debut album of Jay Kipps Band, a group which shows a surprising skill to easily and daringly mix a wide variety of musical styles along a well displayed album that overflows the limits of traditional blues to dive listeners to other border roads that go from bluegrass to blue-surf, roots music or even spaghetti western The band musical foundations are developed with reliability through really worthy foundations and rhythm patterns by Chris Lubker on bass and backing vocals and Cory Bruyea on drums Together with them you will find the attractive deep dark touch of guitar player Chad Burford and the passionate voice of the band leader Jay Kipps, who occasionally also draws some harmonica lines, which give to the band repertoire an additional element that provides an intense touch of a shallow, bucolic and creative fresh air The recording also counts with some additional instruments such as ukulele, slide guitar, cello, percussion and some vocal harmonies, performed by some guests and band friends who contribute to give a more attractive vision to an already very interesting album
