Here comes a cd with an interesting mixture of a variety of formal ways to perform blues and other similar styles Singer and guitarist coming from Reno, Nevada, although he was born in The Philippines, Jason King is a creative and brilliant song-writer, and a versatile effective instrumentalist and singer too In this new piece of work Jason brings us eleven own songs, performed with that personal original stamp that distinguishes him to many other good musicians who play a similar kind of music The backing rhythm section keeps all the feeling and steady drive to keep a powerful high feeling along the whole cd Jason King moves easily from the beginning to the cd end, with passionate guitar riffs, which go from funk to blues or rock and effective straight and doses of swingin ‘shuffle & groove The guest musicians involved in the project are Jason Stanton on keyboards, Rick Metz on sax and Freddie Mills on harmonica Freddie Mills do an excellent tasteful but at the same time restrained work
