Jane Lee Hooker is the name of a band which has nothing to do with legendary John Lee Hooker The group communicates an overwhelming energy, they are an unleashed force of nature, a true devastating hurricane, a whirlwind of terrific vitality which are able to perform with reliability from pure electrifying raw rock-blues to nostalgic old blues like Bumble Bee, Champagne & Reefer, Shake For Me or Mannish Boy, or even dare with the most contemporary electro-pop with a touch of punk This is Jane Lee Hooker debut album that appears in the recording market thanks to Thomas Ruf, that presents eleven songs and the particularity the group is exclusively formed by women The girls are Dana Danger Athens on vocals, Hail Mary Zadroga on bass, Tracy High Top on guitar, Melissa Cool Whip Houston on drums and finally Tina T-Bone Gorin on guitar too With this recording Jane Lee Hooker give a big step forward in the way to get a particular own lush sound, and certainly this time they have succeeded We have only to follow up the band closely to discover if all the expectations the band has created with this new cd, become a complete reality
