James Day is a nice cheerful harmonica player with a big fine sense of humour I wouldn’t go so far but, I would dare say, he is half way between Big Joe Turner and Smiley Lewis After a time playing on a duo format with his brother Jeff, in 2003 he decided to start a new project and form his own band, James Day & The Fish Fry Since then on, they began to play regularly and have gradually got a certain success into the music circles they usually move, doing a mixture of New Orleans rhythm and blues and West Coast jump blues Their joyful unpretentious music captivates with enthusiasm Mid Atlantic Coast audiences where they play around They have also backed some blues stars like Johnny Dyer, the late Gary Primich, Nappy Brown, James Harman or Willie ‘Big Eyes’ Smith among others It is a twelve songs cd that will provide you enough energy to dance the whole week-end nights
