For about four years great singer, guitarist and composer Javier Teixidor did not give us his magnificent vision of pop rhythm and blues and soul music Finally time has come for those who are familiar with his classic, rhythmic, funny and challenging style to enjoy with his new release, in a collection of thirteen songs that represent a new personal challenge All musicians involved perfectly know what is expected of them, as most of them belonged to what was known as movida madrileña so popular in Spain during 80’s, performing in bands like Los Elegantes or Mermelada J Teixi Band features Daniel Montemayor bass, accordion and vocals, Carlos ‘Charly’ Hens drums and vocals, Javier Teixidor guitar and vocals and Emilio Galiacho piano and organ, with the excellent support of Walls’ Horns and Juan Muro on sax, Cesar Guerrero trombone and Manuel Caceres trumpet If that was not enough, a bunch of good friends collaborate as guest musicians, like Ñaco Goni harmonica or Ramon Arroyo, Rafa Hernández and Juanma del Olmo guitars Finally Mario Torres plays accordion in the song Jole Blom A cool daring album with some lyrics that show a fine sensitivity and irony sung in Spanish, which will certainly delight every listener
