J-Rad Cooley is a young singer, songwriter, piano and harmonica player, as well as a creative and nice storyteller coming from Salt Lake City, Utah, who collects so diverse influences coming from Lightnin’ Hopkins, Ray Charles or The Band, always with a New Orleans air together with the sweet and genuine flavor of ragtime. J-Rad Cooley also has a special sense to develop the blues, he displays with a particular melody and sensitivity.

Produced by Tony Holiday, in this album the piano takes an outstanding place as, besides J-Rad who is on piano, harmonica and vocals, it also features piano player Victor Wainwright. Both accurately develop with an undeniable elegance, cleverness and a remarkable understanding, a special, different tasteful groove that will immediately captivate listeners, something that becomes evident from the very first moment both musicians turn on playing, well surrounded by other reliable instrumentalists such as Aubrey McCrady on guitar, Josh Karrick and Zach Kasik on bass and Shake E. Fowlkes on drums, plus the collaboration of Tim “Too Slim” Langford on guitar in one track and Hannah Jason on backing vocals. All musicians know how to give an excellent swing to the nine album tracks.
