From the cold and beautiful country of Finland comes the last and most recent piece of work by Ismo Haavisto, that gathers ten own compositions, both in music and lyrics, two of them performed solo and the rest on a trio format Haavisto sings, plays guitar, slides his bottleneck on the guitar strings and he also blows harmonica, while Ville Vallila does a good work on bass and backing vocals in some cuts and Mikko Järvinen is responsible of drums, washboard and percussion Ismo Haavisto represented Finland at 2012 European Blues Challenge in Berlin The following year he also participated at the International Blues Challenge that is yearly organized by the Blues Foundation in Memphis This recording gives the opportunity to all good fans to enjoy Ismo Haavisto’s two facets, that is to say, in electric and acoustic format, with a variety of quite different sounds, that with its innovative and evocative music full of colourful nuances contribute to widen the new blues of the twenty-first century
