    Valoración: VERY GOOD

Isaiah B Brunt travelled from Sydney, in the remote Australian country, to New Orleans to record his first electric album electric, to show that a storyteller who has always respected the old blues tradition, is able to sound powerful and valuable, especially if you take into account this time he holds in his hands a Fender Stratocaster, besides a wah-wah pedal, a delay and a bottleneck to play slide guitar with a clever but at the same time restrained style He is also a singer gifted with a pretty velvety voice that very much remains John Mayall’s tone For this album Isaiah B Brunt is backed by Mark Whitaker on drums, who provides an hypnotic wrapping rhythm to the whole recording, Richard Bird on bass, who does a groovy performing which perfectly matches with drums and create a really teamed rhythm section and, finally, Mike Jood, who is responsible of piano and Hammond organ Although Brunt is a relatively new name in the contemporary blues scene, his experience and quality allow him to have produced a more than interesting album, simple and unsophisticated but, at the same time, straightforward and with a very actual sound
