One of the musicians who is undoubtedly doing a tireless work for blues in Basque area, is singer and guitar player Iker Piris Since the moment he founded his band The Románticos in 2009, he has not stopped to perform and bring the blues to all corners where his music is requested From time to time he also collaborates with French musicians and bands like Nico Wayne Toussaint or Awek and, together with Abdell B Bop on double bass and Andy Martin on drums, he leads another project, Iker Piris & His Dual Electras Now he comes with a bunch of eight blues songs, performed in acoustic format only including his voice and his acoustic guitar, where he combines three own blues compositions with five songs coming from legendary bluesmen like Little Walter, Tampa Red, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson and Tommy Johnson Iker develops all songs with huge respect and veneration, performing them with an undeniable knowledge and a restrained good taste, showing all the passion and love he deeply feels for the most genuine old blues, a music that has become an essential part of his life
