Born On The River includes eleven own songs by singer Hurricane Ruth, all of them inspired in her small hometown Beardstone, on the banks of Illinois river To give shape and content to all her musical ideas, Ruth is backed by an energetic powerful trio with David Lumsden on guitar, Gary Davis on bass and the terrific Jim Engel on drums All of them draw a project that communicates a powerful groove, reaching an overwhelming strong climax T Davis, a good friend of the band as well as guitarist and singer, has done the whole production and has been able to take out the best of the four musicians, putting it in an intense, powerful album, that accurately reflects all the energy Ruth communicates in her live performances Despite her short stature, her vocal registers, her deep intense feeling and stage presence make her become a really high artist with an impressive quality level
