When a European musician receives international recognition and becomes one of the outstanding artists at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, his quality is for sure undeniable. This is the case of Hubert Dorigatti, a guitar player and singer who comes from the remote area of the Dolomites in Italy. Surrounded by those fantastic mountains, Hubert discovered the blues when he accidentally got in his hands a John Lee Hooker’s cassette. When he listened to it, he immediately decided that he would devote his life to carrying the blues from city to city and country to country. Nowadays he has become a really skilled musician and composer who stands out in the actual blues scene.

His accomplished and refined technique on the guitar, together with his particular tone and vocal range, together with the genuine way he develops his repertoire, were enough to win the IBC as best Italian blues musician.

Produced by Zack Allen, winner of several Grammys, Hubert had long and productive exchange of ideas, in this EP Dorigatti includes five own compositions, recorded in a single day, where and all his quality and excellence as a composer, singer and guitar player can be appreciated. He is also backed by Rob McNelley and Kenny Greenberg on guitars, Mike Rojas on piano, organ and keyboards, Anton Nesbitt on bass, Marcus Finnie on drums Devonne Fowlkes and Shane Edwards on backing vocals. A more than interesting and totally surprising album.
