We have to congratulate with the recent launch of a collection like this one, that includes two cds, a comic strip, a complete biography, plus a good selected discography and bibliographical notes of every artist included on this striking record series called BD Blues The artist’s list is really amazing, with Howlin’ Wolf, Big Bill Broonzy, T-Bone Walker, Leadbelly, BB King, Robert Johnson, John lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Besie Smith or Blind Lemon Jefferson among others If you are interested, you will also find a similar collection devoted to jazz musicians Resistencia distributes in Spain this excellent collection that every good fan will inevitably need to complete This double Howlin’ Wolf album includes in the first cd, his Memphis period from 1951 to 1953, with classic songs like Moanin’ At Midnight, How Many More Years or All Night Boogie to complete twenty-two songs The second cd is devoted to his Chicago years (1954 to 1956), with excellent tracks, backed by some of the most respected members of Chicago blues scene like his right-hand man Hubert Sumlin or Willie Dixon, Otis ‘Smokey’ Smothers, Fred Below, Otis Spann… As just said, an essential saga for every specialized record collection
