Born in Ronda and now living in Marbella, Hot Nasho is one of those ‘rara avis’ which from time to time come out in Spanish blues market Hot Nasho is self made man who has got a good command in blues, swing or ragtime, besides composing most of the songs he plays This man does not need to surround himself by other musicians, he is just self enough to bring and communicate the genuine feeling of those legendary one men band who wandered around the south of United States at the beginning of last century But this does not mean our man has not evolved and this last album proves it Fourteen own songs that go further up of what he has given us till now and reflect his deep influences from musicians like Blind Blake, J D McPherson, Charley Parr, Dom Flemons or RL Burnside among others, but he also dares with the swing of big bands such as Cab Calloway’s or Duke Ellington’s ones, always with a very original approach The perfect mixture between those great artists and the personal Hot Nasho experiences, make this album to become a small treasure that should be recognized and appreciated by people who look for a careful sensitive and tasteful performing full of a passionate feeling
