This cd can probably be qualified as the more minimalist one of all Homesick James’ records, specially since he split up with his partner and friend, singer and harp player Snooky Pryor, with whom he did the best records of his musical career But this was a long time ago My Home Ain’t Here is a simple, economical unpretentious cd, where Homesick James shows himself as a deep straight musician firmly rooted into the old deep hard Mississippi blues tradition The cd gathers ten tracks where Homesick is perfectly backed by John Leng on guitar and Chris Millar on drums, who give the perfect sound atmosphere to this Fedora label new recording The cd perfectly shows the usual blues line Fedora follows in all its recording productions
