It is highly rewarding to discover an excellent young blues and boogie-woogie piano player. This has happened to me with Henri Herbert I have just met by chance, thanks to his last work.

Born in France but currently working both in Europe and USA, Henri has often been compared to Jerry Lee Lewis, Albert Ammons or Pete Johnson. To reach this amazing level he had to work hard, playing in countless clubs and bars all over Europe both solo and with the band The Jim Jones Revue. Finally, Henri decided to start a solo career and now he has already become a real engine to play blues, boogie and rock & roll.

In 2017 he recorded his first album with The Fury, the group that now backs him when he is requested to play in a combo format. Now he has released a new recording entitled “Boogie Till I Die” that includes eleven solo format songs, most of them instrumental, although in some of them he dares to sing. The album tastefully combines the most incendiary and traditional boogie-woogie with orthodox blues, but you will also find some jazz, rock and roll or ballad, all performed with an undeniable mastery, fantastic groove and a highly exciting beat.

In short words, here comes an album that captures all the energy, strength and virtuoso delivery of this young piano player who has a great future ahead.
