Since he was a child Henri Herbert was totally caught up with piano players like Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino or Pete Johnson. Born in France, Henri grew up in United Kingdom, starting to play piano in the rock revival band The Jim Jones Revue. After trying his luck with his own band, The Fury, Henri decided to make true his life’s dream, so he travelled to Austin, Texas, to immerse himself in the American roots’ music world. He soon began to earn a living as a professional musician and today he has settled in United States where he has become a young and renowned blues and boogie-woogie piano player, besides touring extensively all over the world. It should also be mentioned that one of his videos where he was playing the song “Gettin’ On Down” has reached an incredible 73 million views on YouTube.

This is his seventh album and, this time, he has recorded it with his full band to capture all the strength and spirit of the beginnings of rock & roll, rhythm & blues and garage boogie, displaying the same early fifties vintage sound.

Henri Herbert spreads an overflowing energy on stage, which makes that his live shows are unforgettable, where the audience can’t stop dancing, which makes him become a charismatic musician who reminds us Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry or Gene Taylor’s keys mastery, all passed through a personal style where it is impossible to remain indifferent.

Twelve electrifying songs where his piano takes out fire and his well-pitched voice communicates passion and feeling, give shape to this fantastic and incendiary album that shows us a full of strength artist, hardened by countless shows in all kinds of bars, clubs and festivals, but who is also able to tell us his experiences in America trying to accomplish his dream, his difficult times as well as the tenacity and faith in his project.

Henri Herbert is backed by Tjarko Jeen, Austin John and Jim Jones on guitars, Josh Williams and Luca Chiappara on bass and Dino Malo and Jerry Pentacost on drums.
