Norway has always given excellent blues and other related styles like American roots music artists and bands This is the case of Heigh Chief, a group which drives us to those southern rock and California bands of the early 70’s, although in his music there is also blues, jazz or rock Little by little the group has been well known, not only in his country but also in many north European countries, and they can be usually seen playing in Germany The album gathers ten songs and a version of Bob Dylan’s song Shall Be Released, all deeply rooted in Americana music, played with conviction, energy and musicality, as well as with large doses of guitars and good vocal arrangements Among the many influences that can be found in their musical compositions you will find The Allman Brothers, Eagles, Poco, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, Mountain, Comander Cody or Flaying Burritos to name a few Anyway Heigh Chief has personality, nice sound and a good approach, providing an excellent flavour and a new air to the rock that is now played in the north of Europe
