Born in 1946, singer and harmonica player Harmonica Shah drives us with his down-home blues to the essential deep harsh blues, with two main musical references. First his blues are completely influenced by Texas blues style and secondly he plays homage to old Detroit blues school –where he has been living for a long time- that can be felt since the first notes of each one of the twelve blues included on “Listen At Me Good”. For the recording Shah has recruited an excellent very professional musicians who have immediately connected with Shah’s musical taste and ideas, Willie ‘Big Eyes’ Smith on drums, Mel Brown on guitar, Jack De Keyzer on guitar too, Alec Fraser on bass and double bass and Julian Fauth on piano. A delicious honest cd that will enthusiastically satisfy the most purist blues lovers and more eclectic audiences as well.
