Hanna PK is a prominent piano player, singer and composer born in South Korea who now resides in Rochester, New York.
After years of leading her own band and performing in countless bars, cafes, clubs and venues of that particular area, now time has come to make her be known at an international level, by releasing her first album for Vizztone label.
The cd has been produced by renowned bluesman Kenny Neal at his Baton Rouge studios in Louisiana, who also plays harmonica, bass and guitar on four of the eleven tracks included in the album. Neal has put special emphasis on Hanna’s own compositions, only including one version “I’m Lost Without You” coming from Memphis Slim to, in this way, show all her musical skills, not only as a piano player but also as a singer and leader of band which backs her.
Starting from the most genuine tradition of blues piano players, Hanna PK prints her own stamp to her performing, besides giving a remarkable stylistic variety to each song, which makes her become a good example of the most contemporary blues piano players of XXI Century.
