Gypsy Carns is a difficult to define artist, because every day he becomes most unclassifiable in the good sense of the term He plays percussion, twelve-string guitar with or without bottleneck, dobro, bass, tambourine and, sometimes, he also dares to blow harmonica and even beat up a bass drum with his foot Besides Carns has a rough husky voice which gives him an original and really difficult to imitate personality Basically he is a one man band, although this time he has included some friends in the recording who, rather than provide instrumentation to the album, help to create a dark disturbing atmosphere This is a cd not recommended to the most orthodox and purists blues followers, but to all those who look for new experiences and musical adventures, not only as far as blues garage language is concerned, but also to all those people who also look for a transcendent sense in the music, as Gypsy Carns is especially a man of faith and religious mysticism
