To celebrate his fifty years as guitar player, Gwyn Ashton has released an album, the tenth of his career. Coming from Australia, Gwyn has been living in United Kingdom for quite a long time. This album becomes a summary of his musical skills, not only as a guitar player but also as a composer and singer, as well as becoming the most personal recording he has published so far where, as a story-teller, he brings us very personal and autobiographical stories.

Gwyn plays a variety of guitars like a 1930 National Steel, a Martin acoustic, three twelve-string acoustic guitars and a 60’s Harmony H-75 electric guitar. Despite playing solo only with his guitars, harmonica and foot-drums, the songs sound intense, deep, energetic and vibrant with a raw musical richness that becomes a genuine trademark of the way how he displays his music.

The album includes ten songs, eight Gwyn’s own compositions and two written in collaboration with Garry Allen.

After travelling thousands of miles bringing his music to all corners of Australia and in many European places, Gwyn has taken a break to concentrate in this recording that captures all his special personality and good work.
