After a time of silence, Guy Bélanger has just released his sixth album, where he cleverly combines his own compositions -some of them instrumental ones-, with versions like Sign ‘O The Times coming from Prince or Bright Side Of The Road by Van Morrison Defined as his most complete project up to date, the eleven album songs are varied and emotional in equal parts In them Guy Bélanger lets listeners discover his musical universe, thanks to the interesting song lyrics, his excellent harmonica playing and his well-pitched voice This is an elegant, harmonious and good conceived album, where our man is supported by Robert Mac Donald on guitars, Marc-André Drouin on bass, Michel Dofour on drums plus a good bunch of guest musicians who contribute to round up a carefully thought and developed recording in every musical aspect, not only for the musicians who have been involved on it but also for Guy’s own final production, that allows him to give out the most precious sound as well as a really tasteful final album mixing
