Texas piano player Glen Clark has build up his career backing great musicians like Delbert McClinton, Bonnie Raitt, Kris Kristofferson or Willie Nelson Over the years he has also developed an extensive facet as a composer and a great number of his songs have been recorded by artists such as Etta James, Buddy Guy, John Mayall, Dizzy Gillespie or Shemekia Copeland, as well as the previous mentioned ones This is his new solo album since 1994 and gathers a collection of ten own compositions, that cleverly and tastefully combine a successful mixture of country, blues, soul, gospel, honky tonk, Americana music and rock and roll, all them performed with a huge inspiration Although his voice and music have often been compared Greg Allman, Bruce Springsteen or Jackson Browne, Glen has developed a personal style that makes him irresistible for wide audiences, which has made him become one of the best players of contemporary music Besides Glen on keyboards, guitar and vocals, the band musicians are Sam Swank on guitar, Jim Milan on bass and vocals and John Bryant on drums, percussion and vocals This is a high quality, very elegant and well performed recording, with the real flavour of the most genuine roots music
