Based on the diverse and varied Memphis sound, Ghost Town Blues Band goes a step further in this new release, by adding some actual, daring and contemporary sounds, although they are all strongly influenced by roots music, something that becomes an essential part of their musical background they never forget in their performing Led by singer, guitar and harmonica player Matt Isbell, who is also an experienced homemade cigar box guitar manufacturer, the group manages to give a wide variety of sounds by incorporating different instrumentalists to the band such as Taylor Orr on guitar and vocals, Kevin Houston on sax and vocals, Suavo Jones on trombone, trumpet and vocals, Cedric Taylor on Hammond, piano and vocals, Matt Karner on bass and vocals and Andrew McNeill on drums, percussion and vocals Such a band could only give as a result a varied, powerful album, with different musical nuances, displayed with a more than an interesting, exciting and ambitious technique From the cd opening song Running Out Of Time to the last cut Hey There Lucinda which gives end to the twelve own compositions Isbell has selected for the recording, all them become a good showcase that allows us to appreciate the versatility of these interesting musicians who show different influences coming from the amazing Memphis sound legacy, but that also have a foot in the future
