    Valoración: VERY GOOD

A varied record with different blues conceptions, from houserockin’ blues to roadhouse blues, rock-boogie and a little bit of funky-blues The rhythm patterns are simple and unaffected but, at the same time, strong, effective and perfectly performed on different tempos like slows, funky, grooves and shuffles Our star drummer and singer Geoff Jardine feels comfortable along the whole cd and shows his fine technique and tempos control he mastery knows To complete the band Geof has included bass, guitar, harp, and keyboards to produce Once Was A Big Man, that includes four covers (Nick Gravenites, Elmore James, John Mayall…) and eight own songs –two Geoff’s ones and six written by bass player Paul McNeill- A cd that has pleasantly surprised me for the instrumental control and amazing command of very effective musicians who deeply know the music they are playing
