Jamie Blues Boy Powell is an eighty years old guitar player with a deep hoarse vocal style Over the years he has been continuously playing around Los Angeles blues scene His partner, harmonica player Sammy Lee is well known for his particular style to play harp, often imitating the old locomotive sounds, mixing it with the beat and shuffle of Louisiana blues Both have a great sense of humour and their dialogs on stage follow the same style of those Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau used to do, which makes their shows become real amusing ones Ray Goren is only fourteen years old and when he was only eight, he started to play as jazz pianist, although soon he decided to devote himself to play blues on guitar These three musicians are the three fundamental pillars of a band named The Generation Blues Experience, a group that also includes Lester Lands on bass, guitar and vocals, Tadg Galleran and Andrew Bush on keyboards, Albert Trepagnier Jr on drums, Terry Deroguen on guitar, besides an able horn section The album presents eight songs ranging from the sharpest shuffles to the slow melodic blues, always respecting the most accurate tempos
