Gang Wolf Lightnin’ is one of those hard to find musicians in the actual times and fashion currents that run in the blues world According to his own words, since he was a young boy he felt totally caught by last century twenties and thirties blues, so this has been the music that has gone with him for the last ten years During these years he has devoted himself to investigate dark forgotten 78 rpm pre-war blues recordings Now he has released in LP (vinyl) format a selection of ten songs he wants to make them preserved and not to be forgotten, giving them his personal touch and paying homage to those bluesmen which have influenced him so much The selection includes songs by Robert Wilkins, Tommy Johnson, Peg Leg Howell, Blind Willie McTell, Billy Bird, Charlie McCoy, Gene Campbell and George Torey, plus a Gang’s own composition The small Spanish independent label Folc Records publishes this LP recorded in Barcelona in 2017 to let us discover a new talent whose mission in blues field is to perpetuate rather than renovate the true blues essence and I can tell he has got it
