Jim Finn, Keith Todd and Bootsie Booth are three Australian musicians well known among Sydney area audiences. The three used to play at the jams that regularly took place at Merlon Estate Pub in Sydney. They soon became friends as they shared similar musical tastes. Finally, they decided to publish an album that collected many of the songs they used to play in those jams, which has made as a result a recording with fourteen songs coming from Jim Finn, Keith Todd and Richelle Booth, that become a mixture of traditional rock and roll, rhythm & blues and a little bit of rockabilly. The trio does a remarkable approach to the selected repertoire, with good compositions and well-assembled vocal harmonies, together with effective arrangements and a reliable final production.

As the album tittle says, the recording aims to communicate the joy the three musicians feel to have finally broken the chains of pandemic and confinement, to come back and do what they like most, to be on stage and play the music they deeply feel and love.

The band name is FTB which are the initials of Jim Finn who is on drums, keyboards and vocals, Keith Todd who is on guitars, keyboards and vocals and Richelle (Bootsie) Booth on saxos, piano and bass. For the recording they have also counted with the collaboration of Simon Shaw on additional guitars.

In short words, an interesting album that allows us to discover and appreciate the singular qualities of musicians coming from such a distant place for us as Australia.
