Representing Sweden at the European Blues Challenge 2023 held in Chorzów, Poland, FROM emerges as one of the bands with a great future ahead in the European blues and roots music scene.

Led by brothers Henrik From on guitar and vocals and Rikard From on keyboards and vocals, the group also includes Peter Löwgren on bass and vocals and Simon Lundin on drums and vocals. The band started their music adventure just before the pandemic, and during the confinement, they devoted themselves to compose their own songs. In January 2022 they published this first album entitled “Tear It Up” which includes eight own compositions, which was warmly received by media and audiences, something that encouraged them to work on their second recording that will be released in a very short time.

All band musicians show an excellent interpretative level, tastefully developing a repertoire that basically moves among southern rock, roots music, Americana and blues, confirming the quality of many of the European bands which today work hard to keep the blues alive, not only in the Scandinavian countries but also all over Europe. That is why we greet and welcome all the groups and musician which every year compete at the European Blues Challenge, showing the high level that can now be found in the European blues scene, as is the case of FROM.
