Fried Okra is a popular band, not only in Danish scene but also in all Scandinavian countries In 2018 they won the Danish Blues Challenge, which led them to represent their country at the European Blues Challenge, reaching the second place This is their sixth album where they mix a variety of styles like folk-rock, old school boogie or Americana roots music, all inspired by Mississippi music, especially RL Burnside’s Hill Country Blues, but also showing their weakness for John Lee Hooker Anyway, this does not mean their music does not sound actual and very contemporary, but rather the opposite, as Fried Okra knows how to combine these musical ingredients giving them a personal touch really in accordance with the times we are living A short lineup including Morten Lunn on guitar and lead vocals, Anders Wallin on bass and vocals and Thomas Crawford on drums, percussion and vocals is enough to produce a daring attractive sound especially for new generations who look for different new blues landscapes
