Born in Georgia, only aged four Frank Bey started his musical skills singing in the local gospel choir With his brother and two cousins, he formed a band called The Rising Sons, touring regularly around the southern states At seventeen he joined for several years the show of great soul singer Otis Redding as the opening act At the beginning of the seventies Frank formed a funk band, but good luck was not with him, as a series of problems with James Brown made him to be forgotten and abandoned by most of his friends He was so disappointed and upset that he left music for seventeen years After winning a battle with a serious kidney failure, Frank Bey has decided to come back to the music scene to delight us with his incredible superb voice, surrounded by a bunch of high quality musicians, all them with an enormous professionalism The soul you will find in this album, recorded and produced by two times Grammy winner Tom Hambridge, who is also on drums and as composer in six of the cd songs, is superb, creating a terrific but, at the same time, exquisite climax This is a recording with an undeniable quality that will certainly awake in listeners their most dancing vein After so many life troubles, Frank Bey’s dream has become true with this excellent album
