Foghat celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with a series of shows and this double album recorded and filmed live from Daryl’s House Club, whose DVD is also included in the pack. Formed in 1971 by former Savoy Brown members Lonesome Dave Peverett and Roger Earl, the band has suffered some changes over the years. Now Foghat members are leader and founder Roger Earl on drums, together with Brian Bassett on lead guitar, slide and vocals, Charlie Huhn on lead vocals and guitar and Rodney O’Quinn on bass and vocals. Winners of eight Gold records, one Platinum record and one Double Platinum record, Foghat show that, despite their age, music, energy, commitment, attitude and passion for the most electrifying blues rock run through their veins, as they still remain totally caught by music and live shows as if there was an addictive drug. Along these two CD’s, Foghat confirm they have reached a prominent place in the history of British rock and, despite the bad circumstances they have found during these fifty non-stop years of career, such as the sad death of Lonesome Dave Peverett, they tirelessly remain motivated and active, as they are now preparing a new album that will be released in 2022, where they will follow with the task to show the audiences and themselves too that what really matters for them is to be on stage burning the crowd of faithful followers with this colorful rock-blues they know to perform like nobody else does.
