Canada is a country with a fabulous roster of blues bands. From this country now comes the last recording of a magnificent group called FOG Blues & Brass Band, which with their first album “Into The Fog!” already caught the attention of music lovers and media. Since there on, they have enjoyed an increasing success, sax player Dan Jancar was nominated as “Best Sax Player of the Year” by the Maple Blues Awards, and they have also been semi-finalists at 2020 International Blues Challenge.

The band includes seven musicians, which guarantees audiences will always enjoy with their powerful live shows. This last album presents six songs framed in rhythm & blues with rock influences, developed with attractive horn arrangements and more than interesting harmonies.

The impressive voice of Hilliard Walter leads the band playing harmonica too. The rest of band musicians are Al Hosack on bass and vocals, Domenie DiNino on drums and percussion, Bobby Becker on piano, organ and keyboards, Tim Pulser on guitars, Dan Jancar on tenor and baritone sax and vocals and finally Joe Dublanski on alto sax. And if that was not enough, the recording also features a series of guest musicians, which makes all songs sound totally energetic, with an incredible rhythm and a powerful display.

With only six songs, this album seems too short, so let’s hope FOG Blues & Brass Band will soon release a new one to enjoy and dance again with their music.
