Here comes a new album of good singer Ted Williams, aka Floyd Lee He was born in Mississippi in 1931 He discovered the blues at the end of the forties and he immediately fell in love of them In 1972 he moved to Harlem, New York, where for more than twenty years he devoted himself to teach music on child Harlem schools but also to sing on clubs, underground stations and city streets From the beginning of the nineties Floyd Lee and his band have appeared on different festivals and toured all over the world, from Japan to Russia, North Korea or Bermuda islands This new piece of work is the soundtrack for documentary film Full Moon Lightin’ directed by John C Gardiner, where Floyd’s playing shines at a very high level perfectly backed by Joel Poluck on guitars, Brad Vickers on bass and acoustic guitar and Steve Pozelatti on drums and washboard Raw and punk blues by a genuine real example of the most daring electrifying avant-garde blues but at the same time deeply rooted into old Mississippi blues tradition
