Also from Australia comes an album by singer and guitar player Fiona Boyes, a musician who has specialized herself in Delta and North Mississippi Hill County acoustic blues, although this does not prevent her from feeling comfortable playing electric blues, as she showed few years ago at Reus Blues Festival in Tarragona (Spain).

Nominated eight times to Memphis Blues Music Awards, Fiona has developed an extensive career, touring in more than twenty countries, which makes her be actually recognized and appreciated by the most genuine fans of that kind of blues which is performed with love and passion.

The disc features nine original songs plus three previously released ones, where Fiona not only shows her knowledge of the music she plays, but also develops her skills with the National Resophonic and cigar box guitars.

Once the confinement is over, with this album Fiona wants to celebrate her coming back to stages. She is on vocals and electric, acoustic, National Resophonic and cigar box guitars, perfectly surrounded in some tracks by Mark Grunden on drums and percussion, Phill “Phillbully” Jenkins on tuba and Watermelon Slim on harmonica.

This is a recording displayed with real joy from the bottom of the heart, the place where deep feelings and the most genuine music come from, something that, undoubtedly, will also reach listeners’ hearts.
