For more than twenty-five years Australian singer, guitar player and composer Fiona Boyes has totally devoted herself to evangelize and educate different audiences with the holly words of blues Along all these years Fiona has performed in the most diverse and biggest blues festivals all over the world and has also been nominated five different times to the Blues Music Awards given every year by the Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN In this last piece of work Fiona Boyes has gathered fourteen original blues and two covers Baby Please Don’t Go coming from Big Joe Williams and another song entitled Face In The Mirror Fiona has recorded all songs in format of solo, duo or trio and, besides singing, she also plays acoustic guitar, two Resonator and a four string cigar-box She is also backed by two great musicians like Jimi Bott on drums and Denny Croy on bass in some songs And, if that was not enough, the person in charge of all the studio work has been Professor Johnson who managed to do everything in real time and without any kind of overdubs or other technical effects As usual Fiona communicates a big dose of deep passion, love, sweetness, commitment, eagerness, conviction and blues… a lot of blues
