Born in Lyon, French singer and guitar player Fab Zoreil moved very soon to Paris and, later on, he travelled to Reunion Island, where he stayed for seven years. There, he moved and hanged around the most subversive and radical rock movements. In 2002 he came back to Paris and devoted himself to play in the underground and small clubs and venues. Together with some city musicians, he released his first recordings. Now Fab Zoreil performs solo and in duo format with drummer Olivier Hurtu.
In January 2021 both colleagues published this album, that includes nine songs that, musically move between alternative rock and the most underground blues, performed no musical licenses, thanks to Fab’s rocky, deep, raw voice and his hurtful and sometimes melancholic but always howling and surprising guitar playing, plus the effective and primitive Olivier’s drums backing.
A hard and difficult to digest album for those who like a balanced sound and beautiful colorful harmonies but, on the other hand, it will surely be appreciated among younger audiences who look for provocation and the most countercultural atmosphere.
