In this new cd Eugene really sounds powerful and full of energy Eleven songs of the best Texas jump blues, in the path of T-Bone Walker and other great names with a touch of the contemporary shuffle of those masters of that musical school Born in 1963, when he was a teenager he began to sing and play guitar in gospel bands until he moved to Houston and formed his own band In 1996 he first toured Europe reaching a big success among specialized media but, over all, among young audiences who loved his easily spreading thrilling music In this cd Bridges is backed by an excellent Texas rhythm section with Guthrie Kennard on bass and Jimy Pendleton on drums who give the perfect support to make Eugene give the best of himself There must also be mentioned Paddy Milner and Richard Simmons who combine piano and Hammond performing with a powerful fabulous horn section and the amazing Seth Kibel’s arrangements
