Once again Austrian label Wolf Records surprises us with another of its historical documents of great interest and value for all blues lovers Wolf owner Hannes Folterbauer has an amazing archive of recordings coming from sixties, seventies and eighties old bluesmen, he cleverly doses as time goes by, publishing them from time to time to, in this way, become more valued and appreciated by fans In this case there are some unreleased recordings by singer and piano player Errol Dixon he performed live the 9 September 1973 at Jazzland Club in Vienna, Austria You will discover Errol’s voice and piano playing some old blues standards as Stormy Monday Blues, Kansas City, Next Time I See You, Rock Me Baby or Hey Bartender, but also he gives us some own compositions like Pretty Baby, Foot Stompin’ Boogie or one of his greatest hits Midnight Train among others Twenty-three songs that will surely delight his fans and collectors, mainly because you will not find many records published under his own name, so any recording coming from an artist like Errol Dixon is always welcomed The album also includes a booklet with an interesting interview he did in Austria the 19 April 1974 So, enjoy it fellows!
