This is an album where Ericson Holt presents a variety of styles, shapes, textures and colors, as things are not always black or white, as sometimes they are determined by an endless number of nuances that go from reality to fiction and from the best things to the bad ones. In August 2020 Holt decided to carry on this project so he recruited a group of musicians of outstanding reliability like guitar player Joe MacMahan (Allison Moorer, Kevin Gordon, Hayes Carll), bass player Dave Santos (The Neville Brothers, John Fogerty), drummer Kenneth Blevins (John Hiatt, John Prine, Sonny Landreth) and sound engineer and organist Kevin McKendree (Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy, Brian Setzer). The result are ten Ericson Holt’s own compositions, developed in a totally spontaneous way but, at the same time, with a certain dose of a raw performance, which will captivate and catch listeners and make them appreciate the way this artist communicates the resilience of actual men and women and the way of facing with hope and good humor what life will bring us.
