Born in 1969 in San Mateo, California, Eric Lindell gathers all the magical influences of Californian music and, most generally speaking, of the whole West Coast area, but he still has reserved some space for New Orleans music, which has a special place in his life and in the way of making music Undoubtedly we will find these styles and other new things reflected in this last album recorded for Alligator Records, which included him in their artist catalogue some time ago For this new album Eric Lindell has decided to select twelve own compositions where he practically plays all the instruments (guitar, bass, keyboards, organ, harmonica and, of course, his wrapping melodic voice he has been gifted qith), with the exception of drums which are tastefully played by Willie McMains and piano player Kevin McKendree who puts his piano in the song Millie Kay In short words, this is a juicy appetizing recording that becomes a delicious exciting mixture of Americana music with West Coast rock, swampy New Orleans rhythm and blues and honky tonk country Memphis soul
