Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, Eric Johanson had his first guitar on hands when he was only five years old, He became a self-taught guitar player listening to his great idols who, at that time, were Freddie King and Robert Johnson. In his teens he decided to totally devote himself to music and started to back some well-established artists, travelling and playing all over New Orleans and Memphis areas. He gradually opened up to other styles such as rock, electronic music or psychedelia. He lived in New Zealand for four years, where he finished to give shape to his music style that today is an eclectic mixture of blues, rock, roadhouse roots rock. According to his own words, he does not like to stay in one specific box and he is able to release an acoustic traditional real blues album as well as the most incendiary hard-rock-blues recording.

This time Eric Johanson has opted for a more rock line, crossing the blues borders to explore other fields he develops on a raw style where decibels rocky solos prevail over the rest, giving a different twist to what we understand as blues.
