Singer Emma Wilson strongly bursts into British blues scene, thanks to her stage presence and well-pitched voice.

Nominated in 2021 and 2022 for the U.K. Blues Awards as “Best Emerging Artist Of The Year”, thanks to this new recording Emma confirms her bright skills as vocalist, approaching her repertoire with a careful good taste and a restrained elegance.

Emma Wilson displays ten own compositions based on a variety of styles, with different touches where blues, northern-soul, rock and gospel prevail, where listeners can notice the influences of artists like Ann Peebles, Aretha Franklin or Mavis Staples. The album has also features three high level outstanding British musicians like Adam Chetwood (Imelda May, Mark Ronson) on guitar, Mark Neary (Noel Gallagher) on bass and keyboards and Mat Hector (Iggy Pop) on drums, percussion and vocals, besides Alessando Brunetta on harmonica in the song “Not Paying”. All of them manage to create a wrapping intimistic climax but, at the same time, they provide a remarkable quality to the whole recording, according to the tastes of actual music lovers.

The album was recorded live with no affectations and studio devices at Jackdaw Studios in Kent, which helped to get a rich unaffected sound in an atmosphere that created a vert special feeling among all musicians, that contributed to enhance Emma Wilson’s natural vocal qualities.
