Here comes the second album by British soul, blues, and rhythm and blues singer Emma Wilson. In 2022 Emma released her first recording and was awarded as Best Emerging Blues Artist of the Year by U.K. Blues Awards.

At the beginning of 2023, Emma traveled to Memphis and, in a meeting with her distributing company, she met its owner Johnny Phillips, who shared with her he also owned Sam Phillips Recording studios and had recently acquired original recording material coming from Stax. Besides, Johnny suggested her to record his second album there, which is this one I am now talking about.

Of course, Emma did not miss the opportunity and, in June 2023, she traveled back to Memphis to record it, which includes nine songs where she is backed by a large group of impressive musicians, all of them coming from Memphis area.

According to her own words, the experience was unbelievable and magical, so now Emma is proud to represent the feeling and good work of an English woman totally influenced by Memphis musical sounds, she develops with a really personal stamp. All this can be found in the songs, she displays with a very contemporary sound where Emma Wilson gives the best of herself, showing listeners all her impressive broad vocal range and nuances, as well as her good work as a composer.
